Teradek Cube. Updating firmware
Because the Teradek Cube model is an online streaming device, there are a lot of streaming issues that can happen such as, the device going live, but not showing video at the OBS or CDN as one of many examples.
This can be quite simply a matter of communication within the device that doesn’t quite match with the network and a simple firmware update is all that it might take in order to fix the issue.
To do this, I am going to go through the steps with you here:
Step 1

Step 2
- Make sure that your Teradek Cube is connected via ethernet to the same network that the pc you are using to perform the upgrade is connected to
- Open the web UI via the Cube IP address. This can be done via our advanced IP scanner for in house searchability, but for advising customers, please refer them to the manufacturer Tera Central app which can be found here: https://teradek.com/pages/downloads#TeraCentral Screen shot of the web page below.

- Follow the applications installation instructions and once done, you are good to go. (Unfortunately due to my computer rights I was unable to open the app) This needs to be done on the Mac or the service laptop.) I have found a video link here that can also talk you through this if this is easier for you also. https://support.teradek.com/hc/en-us/articles/216948118-How-to-Update-Firmware-on-the-Cube
- Once you have found your IP address, type this into your web browser or simply click configure in the Tera Central app and a screen will appear asking for the user name and password.
- User name: admin
- Password: admin
- Once in the web UI, click system, then firmware upgrade. You will then be introduced with this:

- Select the downloaded firmware file and click upgrade. It’s important to allow a few minutes for the procedure to complete and what-ever you do, do not switch the unit off during this time as this could brick the unit.
