MRX/AVM 70 Airplay Set-up

As a disclaimer before you begin, make sure that the firmware version of you MRX/AVM unit is running firmware version .54 or later. You will also need to attach the antennas to the back of your MRX/AVM (You won’t need to do this is you are using Ethernet).

Step 1

Open the “settings” app on your iPhone from the home screen.

Step 2

Select the MRX/AVM listed under the “Set up new Air Play Speaker” field in the WiFi Tab.

Step 3

After you select the MRX/AVM, you will be brought to the below screen where you will need to confirm the network where the Anthem will be connected to. Adding a password is optional. Your MRX/AVM will then attempt to be added to your network.

You can confirm the unit is successfully on the network by using the LCD Displays menu. Press Menu on the unit and then scroll down to the Network/Control menu and select it.

You should then see the Network Status line, if this is showing an IP Address (series of numbers, ex 192.168.0.11) then your unit has been connected successfully to your home network.

You can now stream content to the unit by selecting the AirPlay option in your iOS app and then selecting your MRX x40 or AVM 70 unit.
