MRX Series Factory Reset
MRX Factory Reset
If you suspect that settings are the issue with your MRX unit, you can perform one of the three following actions:
When you Load Factory Defaults in the menu - if the user settings or installer settings have been saved - yes it won't delete these. The 2 button push is a System Reset and everything is deleted and reset.
Loading the Installer settings
Storing the User settings
Proceed into the Save/Load/Update settings by pressing the menu button on the front of the unit and using the dial to scroll down.

Make sure that you then select “User Settings”, followed by “Yes”.
Please note that these stores settings will disappear if you perform a full factory reset.
Loading the Installer settings
Once you have stored the User Settings, proceed to load the Installer settings in the Save/Load/Update menu by selecting “Load Installer Settings”, then “Yes”.
Loading Factory Defaults
Under the same menu as before, there is the option for “Load Factory Defaults” you can try this if the above step has not worked- this would eliminate the issue lying within the settings of the MRX.
Full Factory Reset
Should the above two steps not identify your issue, the final step would be a full factory reset.
Before the reset
Open the WebUI (by typing the IP address of the MRX into a browser tab) and proceed to the Store/Load/Update tab on the left. You can save the configuration settings to your laptop/PC. You will need these again once you have performed the full factory reset.

The reset procedure
Power off the unit. When you go to turn the unit back on, press and hold the Menu and Power button until the System Reset appears on the screen. This will have wiped all the internal settings (both User and Installer settings).

If this process cures the issue, either set up the unit from scratch or reload the customer’s settings. You can import the User settings, then try and ascertain the setting causing the issue.
